Whose behind Sew Into Scrubs?
Behind Sew into Scrubs is Mother and Daughter team, Frances and Lindsey! We’re Devon based and both have a huge love for sewing.
Our aim is simple - to help make professionals feel and look amazing whilst displaying their perosnalities on their scrubs. We are about being fun and unique.

LINDSEY
Hi, my name is Lindsey! I started my dental journey as a dental nurse 18 years ago then went onto university to study Hygiene and Therapy and have been working as such for the past 12 years, with 11 of them being the senior DHT for 13 practices.Â
My mum is the reason I learnt to sew - I learnt it all from her. I have made ball gowns to bridesmaid dresses, jackets to dresses and even fancy dress costumes for my children.
In October 2019 I decided to make some Christmas scrub tops and posted it on a closed hygiene forum and the response was incredible - and before I knew it, Sew Into Scrubs was born!Â
Being in surgery has provided me with a hands-on practical expertise and knowledgeable insight into the regulations and requirements for workwear which I'm sure will develop further thanks to Covid-19.Â
Aside from dentistry and sewing, I am a wife and mother, love playing the piano or being creative, but ultimately I am always on the go, never stop, never give up. I wouldn't have it any other way!
FRANCES
Hello, my name is Frances! I work alongside my daughter Lindsey within Sew Into Scrubs. You will have read how Lindsey started the idea behind our beautiful scrub tops, and when she asked me to come on board, I was delighted! I learnt to sew as a child (and still have my first sewing machine!), and was inspired by my grandmother who could make just about anything. I sewed all through my teens and on into when I had my own family. I've sewn both clothes and soft furnishings, and I've also enjoyed cross stitch and have made my first foray into quilting. My working life has been in administration & finance, and I re-trained around 15 years ago as a bookkeeper, a job which I really enjoy. Both skill sets have been brought into play with Sew Into Scrubs! My personal life has been very full, and varied: I first met my future husband aged just 16 and we married and moved to Devon over 40 years ago, settling in the beautiful South Hams on the south coast. We went on to have 3 gorgeous children, and as well as both working we have built 3 homes for ourselves (so far, and counting!). I have a real passion for sewing, and love what we are doing. We have had so many really lovely messages from professionals who have bought our scrub tops, caps and bags which gives us a real buzz! We are always looking for ways to enhance our range and have so many ideas - what will we add next?!
